The Chrome & Polished Aluminum Wheels Maintenance Kit
NO ETCHING.
Polished aluminum is the easiest finish on a vehicle to ruin, and high alkaline cleaners are what ruin it. They stain polished aluminum, and most heavy duty degreasers and tire cleaners on the shelf are high alkaline. Acid will stain it too. Nothing in this kit is either one, so you can clean, brighten, polish, and dress chrome and polished aluminum without gambling on the finish.
- Not high alkaline, not acidic: Cool Guy is a pH balanced, acid free iron removing wheel cleaner and Solution RTU is an all purpose cleaner that is safe on polished metal. Neither one will stain polished aluminum or hurt chrome, which is more than most wheel and tire cleaners can say.
- The tire cleaner matters as much as the wheel cleaner: Most tire cleaners are high alkaline, and overspray alone is enough to stain polished aluminum. That is how expensive wheels get ruined by someone who never sprayed the wheel itself. Solution RTU is safe on whatever it drifts onto.
- Cool Guy pulls the iron out: It dissolves brake dust on contact and lifts embedded iron out of the finish instead of you scrubbing at it.
- Aftermath perfects the finish: After the wheels are clean, Aftermath wipes off water spots and brightens the aluminum back up. This is the step that takes a clean wheel to a finished one.
- Cloud 9 for when they go dull: A metal polish for the point where cleaning is no longer enough. Chrome takes light pressure, polished aluminum takes medium to firm. Both come back.
- Two applicators, two jobs: The blue applicator is for Cloud 9 on the metal. The black applicator is for Decked Out on the rubber. Never swap them.
- Polish, not protection: Cloud 9 brightens and restores the metal, it does not seal it. If you want lasting protection on the finish, coat the wheels separately after polishing.
- Won't fix failed chrome: If the chrome is pitted, peeling, or the clear has failed, no polish brings that back. This kit maintains a finish that is still intact.

How to Use
Cleaning the wheels and tires
- Rinse first. Knock the loose brake dust and road grime off the wheels and tires.
- Spray Cool Guy on the wheel. Cover the face, the barrel, and the lug area. Let it dwell so it can dissolve the brake dust before you touch anything.
- Clean with the Wheel Mitts. Work the Shine Supply Wheel Mitt over the face and into the spokes and barrel. The plush microfiber cleans without scratching the finish, which is what matters on polished metal.
- Solution RTU on the tire. Spray the sidewall and scrub it with The Tire Tamer to strip old dressing and browning.
- Rinse everything. Wheel and tire together.
- Repeat and dry. Do all four, then dry the wheels with a soft microfiber. Don't let them air dry or you are just adding the water spots back.
Finishing the wheels
- Wipe down with Aftermath. Mist it on and wipe with a clean microfiber. It clears any remaining water spotting and brightens the aluminum back up.
Polishing, when they start to dull
- Chrome: Apply Cloud 9 to the blue applicator pad and work it in with light pressure. Let it haze, then remove with a clean edgeless microfiber.
- Polished aluminum: Same product, more pressure. Apply Cloud 9 to the blue applicator and work it in with medium to firm pressure, let it haze, then remove.
Dressing the tires
- Apply with the black applicator. Spray Decked Out onto the black applicator pad and work it around the sidewall.
- Second coat for more gloss. Once you have gone around all four, add another pass if you want it wetter. Diluted 2 parts water to 1 part Decked Out gives you satin, 1 to 1 gives you high gloss.
