Never heard of us?
A family business, not a brand
Jeremy Stevens started detailing in 1996 and built Shine Supply out of the family garage in 2008. His two sons work alongside him today, and it is still run out of one shop in Ventura, California. It has never been sold to private equity and it never will be.

Take care of them
A towel is only cheap until it scratches something
Most towels do not wear out. They get contaminated and then get used anyway.
Wash with Micro Clean
Our own microfiber detergent. Regular laundry detergent leaves brighteners and residue in the fibers that never fully rinse out.
No softener, no dryer sheets
Both coat the fibers with wax. A softened microfiber towel stops absorbing and starts pushing water around.
Never in with cotton
Cotton lint works its way into microfiber and kills the absorbency for good. Microfiber gets its own load.
Retire them honestly
When a towel stops absorbing or feels rough, move it down to dirty work instead of putting it back on paint.
Micro Clean is the one that matters here. It is our own microfiber detergent, it is a few dollars, and it decides whether a drawer full of towels lasts a year or a month. It is the first thing in the row below.
We make more than towels
What goes on the towel
A towel is only half of it. These are the best sellers people run with them, from washing the towels through the wash, the wheels and the interior.

How to use them
Three habits that keep paint clean
Most towel damage is not the towel. It is how it gets used.
Match the towel to the job
Plush for paint, terry for wheels and jambs, pearl weave for coatings, twist loop for drying. Grabbing whatever is closest is how paint gets marred.
Fold it in quarters
A quartered towel gives you eight clean sides. Flip to a fresh one the moment the side you are on loads up.
Spray the towel, not the panel
On detail sprays and interior work, product goes on the towel. It keeps overspray off glass and trim and uses less product.
Color code your sets if you can. It is the easiest way to stop a wheel towel from ending up on a hood.
Before you buy
Questions we get
Which towel do I actually need?
The 400 for everyday wipe downs, the Cosmo when the finish matters, the Dutchman or the Black Pearl for drying, the Look Out for glass, and the Taddy for wheels and jambs.
The Versa and both Levelers are coating work. The Prince is for pulling compound and polish. The Clay Towel is decon, and the Wheel Mitt is for wheel faces. If you are starting from nothing, the 400 and the Taddy cover most of a normal wash.
Does gsm matter?
It tells you how plush the towel is, not how good it is. A 300gsm terry is the right towel for a door jamb and a 600gsm plush is the wrong one.
Match the towel to the job instead of buying the highest number. That is the whole reason there are twelve of them.
How do I wash them, and how many do I need?
Micro Clean, no fabric softener and no dryer sheets, and never in the same load as cotton. Keep paint towels in a separate load from wheel and jamb towels.
On quantity, more than you think. Once a towel is loaded with product or grit it is done for that job, so most people run out mid detail. That is why they come in five and ten packs.
Who actually owns Shine Supply?
Jeremy Stevens. He got into detailing in 1996, started Shine Supply in 2008, and it has grown into what it is today. His two sons, Colby and Cory, work alongside him, and the rest of the team has been with us a long time.
No private equity, no parent company. Just the family and the people we work with every day.
I have never ordered from you. What if I have questions?
Call us at 805-535-4332. You will talk to a real person every single time. You can also email Info@shinesupply.com and someone will get back to you. Customer service is the foundation of this whole company, so ask us anything before you spend a dollar.

Can I buy this on Amazon?
No, and that is intentional. Staying off Amazon lets us keep full control over the experience and the connection to our customers.
It also protects our reputation and the reputation of the dealers who carry our product and use it to provide for their families. We want them to have full ownership of that. shinesupply.com is the only place to get it.
