Start Your Shine Right

If you're just getting into detailing, the Shine Supply Starter Kit is the no guesswork way to set up right. Two versions: Base covers the essentials every vehicle needs to wash, clean wheels and tires, finish the paint, handle the interior, and clean glass. Pro adds the Foam Thrower and the shop grade brushes we use at Stevens Detailing every day. Pick the level that matches where you are.

Hot Shot for the wash, Wise Guy for wheels and tires, Ride Shine to finish the paint, Decked Out for tire dressing, Leather & Interior Cleaner for the inside, and Sun Shine for glass. Pro adds the Foam Thrower and four purpose built brushes to take the same workflow up a level.

How to Use

Run the kit in this order for a full detail:

1. Wheels and tires first. Spray Wise Guy across the wheels and tires. Pro users get the full brush set: The Tire Tamer scrubs the tires, The Palm Pro covers the wheel face, and The Workhorse handles the lug nuts and tight intricate spots. Rinse everything.
2. Wash the paint. Base users fill a bucket with Hot Shot and scrub the panels with the Flat Out Wash Pads. Pro users fill the Foam Thrower with 2 to 4 oz of Hot Shot and lay a foam blanket across the vehicle, then scrub with the Flat Out Pads.
3. Dry. Use a drying towel or an air blower.
4. Interior. Spray Leather & Interior Cleaner on dashboards, panels, and leather. Pro users can work it into the intricate spots with The Finisher.
5. Finish the paint. Spray Ride Shine on your microfiber towel. It levels any leftover wash residue, adds protection, gloss, and brings the paint to a perfect finish.
6. Dress the tires. Apply Decked Out to each tire sidewall with the black applicator pad.
7. Glass last. Dilute Sun Shine 3 parts water to 1 part product and wipe down all glass with a clean microfiber.

Detailer Tips

• Wheels first, always. Clean the dirtiest part of the vehicle first so any runoff lands on panels you're about to wash anyway.
• Less is more on Ride Shine. One or two light sprays per panel, level with a clean microfiber, that's all it takes.
• Be mindful with your towels. Keep dedicated sets for each job: one for wheels, one for glass, one for drying, one for the paint with Ride Shine, and one for interior. A towel that touched the wheels has no business on your clear coat.
• Flip or rotate pads often. Whether it's Flat Out Pads on paint or a brush on wheels, a clean working surface is what keeps scratches out.
• Dilute Decked Out to match the finish you want on your tires. 2 parts water to 1 part Decked Out gives you a satin finish. 1 part water to 1 part Decked Out gives you high gloss.
