A full paint reset in one wash, no machine and no polishing. Hot Shot handles the wash, Smooth Move pulls the bonded iron out of the paint, the clay mitt or towel takes off everything you can still feel, and Wet Detailer goes down as you dry to leave three to four months of protection behind. Start to finish in one session, in your driveway.

• Hot Shot does the wash and the clay lube: A high foaming, pH neutral soap that pulls dirt and traffic film off the paint. You use it twice in this kit, once to wash and once as the lubricant for the clay step.
• Smooth Move gets what the wash can't: Washing does not remove the iron particles embedded in your clear coat from brake dust and rail dust. Smooth Move dissolves them chemically so they rinse away instead of sitting in the paint.
• Clay takes off what you can still feel: After the chemical decon, run the Clay Mitt or Clay Towel over a foamed panel. Anything still bonded to the surface comes off, and the paint goes from gritty to glass smooth.
• Mitt or towel, your call: Both are medium grade synthetic and both do the same job. The mitt slips over your hand for more feel, the towel lays flat and covers more ground per pass. Pick the one that suits how you work.
• Wet Detailer protects while you dry: A water activated express sealant. Mist it onto the wet paint and dry it in with the Black Pearl. No separate application step, no buffing, and you walk away with three to four months of protection, gloss, and water beading.
• The Black Pearl does the drying: An 18 x 24 twist weave drying towel that moves water instead of pushing it around, which is what makes the Wet Detailer step work in one pass.
• Wash tools not included: You'll want The Soap Hand for the upper panels and The Soap Box for the lower sections, plus The Foam Thrower if you want to foam rather than bucket wash. All sold separately.

How to Use

1. Wheels and tires first. Get the dirtiest part of the vehicle out of the way before you touch the paint.
2. Rinse. Top down, knocking off the loose dirt.
3. Spray Smooth Move. Cover the paint and let it dwell so it can dissolve the bonded iron. Don't let it dry on the surface.
4. Wash with Hot Shot. Add 2 to 4 oz to your foam cannon or wash bucket and wash the vehicle top down. The Soap Hand on the upper panels, The Soap Box on the lower sections.
5. Rinse the soap off. Everything comes off together: the soap, the dirt, and the dissolved iron.
6. Foam it again. Lay down a second round of Hot Shot. This one is your clay lubricant, not a wash.
7. Clay over the foam. Work the Clay Mitt or Clay Towel over the foamed panel in straight passes. Keep the surface slick at all times, and add more foam if a panel starts to drag.
8. Rinse again. Clear the soap and whatever the clay pulled loose.
9. Seal while it's wet. Do not dry the vehicle first. Mist Wet Detailer over the wet panels and dry them in with the Black Pearl. The water activates it and it dries into the paint as you go.
10. That's it. Three to four months of protection, added gloss, and water that beads and sheets off, all from the drying step.
