DEFECTS BEWARE.

Chop Top is our highest-cutting compound, with zero fillers and a cut aggressive enough to remove up to 1500-grit sand scratches and severe defects on the hardest clear coats. Because it is a diminishing abrasive, it still finishes down to an impressive gloss, which is rare for something this aggressive. It was designed for a rotary and wool pad but works excellent on a dual action too.

• Maximum cut: Removes severe defects and sand scratches on even the hardest clears, saving real time on heavy correction.
• Still finishes well: The diminishing abrasive refines as it breaks down, so it leaves a surprisingly clean finish for a heavy cutter.
• Zero fillers, VOC compliant: Body-shop friendly correction with no fillers masking the result.
• Pads we pair with it: The Deck Hand White medium-cut wool pad on gel coat, or a microfiber cutting pad on clear coat. On a dual action, use Uro-fiber on hard paint or HDO blue foam on softer paint.
• Boost your cut: We sometimes add a little Chop Top to the same pad as Classic Cut to give a job a bit more cutting power when it needs it.

How to Use

Rotary

1. Run a wool or cutting pad with a slow, controlled arm speed so the compound can maximize its cut.
2. Wipe and inspect.

Dual action

1. Use a microfiber cutting pad and work the section with slow passes and moderate pressure.
2. Wipe and inspect.

Detailer Tips

• A spritz of Shine Mist extends the cycle time.
• On gel coat, follow your Heavy Cut step with Chop Top on a Deck Hand wool pad, then move to Wake Up.
• On clear coat, follow with Classic Polish on an HDO orange foam pad.
• Skip it on single-stage paint.
