Hotshot High-Foam Car Wash Soap - 16 oz.

Car wash soap

Got Suds

$12.0016 oz, 4 to 8 washes

197 reviews

Hotshot is a high foam, high cleaning concentrate that breaks down dirt, traffic film and road grime while staying pH neutral. Through a cannon it lays down shaving cream style suds. In a bucket it builds dense, cherry scented foam almost instantly.

  • High foam and high cleaning, pH neutral and safe on wax and sealant when used correctly
  • No waxes, gloss enhancers or ceramic additives, which is what makes it the prep soap before a coating
  • Highly concentrated, 2 to 4 oz in a cannon or 4 oz in a bucket
  • Built for mobile detailing and high volume washing
  • Not the one for weekly washes on a ceramic coated car, use Shift for that

Wash often? The gallon is 8 times the soap for $34.00

  • pH neutral concentrate
  • 2 to 4 oz per wash
  • Ships from Ventura, CA

Shaving cream through a cannon

Hotshot is a concentrate, so 2 to 4 oz expands into a dense blanket that clings to the panel instead of running straight off it. That dwell time is doing the cleaning before your mitt ever touches the car.

Foam is not the whole job, but it is the part that keeps grit off your wash media.

How it works

The wash, in order

A concentrate this strong dilutes deep, so a gallon lasts longer than it looks.

1

Rinse first

Knock the loose dirt off before anything touches the paint.

2

2 to 4 oz in the cannon

Or 4 oz in a bucket. Soap goes in first, then fill with water.

3

Foam and let it dwell

Lay an even blanket and give it time to loosen the traffic film.

4

Contact wash, rinse, dry

Top down with clean wash media, then rinse completely and dry before it spots.

In direct sun, work panel by panel. Never let the soap dry on the surface.

Before you buy

Questions we get

16 oz or gallon?

At 2 to 4 oz a wash, the 16 oz is 4 to 8 washes and the gallon is 32 to 64. Per ounce the gallon runs about a third the price, so it is eight times the soap for under three times the money.

Start with the 16 oz if you have never used it. Go gallon if you wash often or run a mobile route.

Can I use it on a ceramic coated car?

Not as your weekly wash. The cleaning power that makes it great for prep will wear a coating down over time. Use Shift for ongoing maintenance and save Hotshot for prep and heavy cleaning.

On waxed or sealed paint it is fine. It is pH neutral and will not strip what is already there, though it will not add any protection either, since there are no gloss boosters in it.

How much do I use, and can I wash in the sun?

2 to 4 oz in a foam cannon, or 4 oz in a wash bucket, then fill with water. Soap first, water second.

You can wash in the sun with a little control. Work panel by panel and never let the soap dry on the surface.

Who actually owns Shine Supply?

Jeremy Stevens. He got into detailing in 1996, started Shine Supply in 2008, and it has grown into what it is today. His two sons, Colby and Cory, work alongside him, and the rest of the team has been with us a long time.

No private equity, no parent company. Just the family and the people we work with every day.

I have never ordered from you. What if I have questions?

Call us at 805-535-4332. You will talk to a real person every single time. You can also email Info@shinesupply.com and someone will get back to you. Customer service is the foundation of this whole company, so ask us anything before you spend a dollar.

Once you order, we ship almost everything within one to two business days.

Can I buy this on Amazon?

No, and that is intentional. Staying off Amazon lets us keep full control over the experience and the connection to our customers.

It also protects our reputation and the reputation of the dealers who carry our product and use it to provide for their families. We want them to have full ownership of that. shinesupply.com is the only place to get it.
