The Metal Polishing Kit

Sale price$50.00

SHINE IT UP.

A full size polisher will never touch an exhaust tip, a lug nut, or the inside of a wheel barrel. This kit is built for exactly those places. Cloud 9 does the polishing, The Stinger cone gets into the tight intricate spots, Cherry Bomb rounds into the curved and recessed areas, and the applicator pad covers anything a drill won't fit. Polished aluminum wheels, chrome, stainless exhaust, any uncoated metal on the vehicle.

  • Cloud 9 is the polish: A metal polish that cuts oxidation and haze out of bare metal and brings the reflection back. Same product on the wheels, the tips, and the trim.
  • The Stinger gets in tight: A drill mounted cone for spokes on intricate wheels, lug nuts, exhaust tips, and any narrow gap. The shape does the reaching so you're not working a small area with your fingertips.
  • Cherry Bomb handles curves: A drill mounted ball for rounded and recessed areas the cone can't nest into. The inside of exhaust tips, wheel faces, and barrels.
  • Orange cuts, black finishes: Both the cone and the ball come as two packs. Orange foam is the aggressive correcting step, black foam is the softer finishing step. Cut first, then refine.
  • Applicator pad for the rest: Not every spot fits a drill. The small blue microfiber applicator lets you work Cloud 9 in by hand wherever the tools can't go.
  • Uncoated metal only: This is for genuine, uncoated metal. Never run a metal polish on clear coated or painted wheels. It will not do what you want and it will dull the finish. If you are not sure whether a wheel is coated, test a hidden spot first.

Kit includes:

How to Use

With a drill

  1. Clean the surface first. Polishing over dirt drags it across the metal. Wash and dry the area before you start.
  2. Pick the shape. The Stinger cone for tight intricate areas like spokes and lug nuts. Cherry Bomb ball for rounded and recessed areas like the inside of exhaust tips and wheel faces.
  3. Correct with the orange foam. Mount it in your drill, add a few dabs of Cloud 9, and work the area at a controlled speed with light steady pressure until the haze and oxidation clear.
  4. Wipe and check. Clear the residue with a clean microfiber and look at what you have before going further.
  5. Finish with the black foam. Swap to the softer black foam, add a small amount of Cloud 9, and refine the same area to bring the gloss up.
  6. Final wipe. Remove the residue with a clean microfiber.

By hand

  1. Use the applicator. For anywhere the drill won't fit, apply Cloud 9 to the small blue applicator pad.
  2. Work it in. Rub it into the metal. Light pressure on chrome, medium to firm on polished aluminum.
  3. Let it haze, then remove. Wipe off with a clean microfiber towel.
