Classic Cut is our everyday diminishing-abrasive compound and the one we run on roughly 90% of the cars that come through the shop. It removes moderate scratches and defects, then breaks down as you work it to leave a clean, clear finish. Built with zero fillers and a low-dusting formula, it holds up in sun, heat, and humidity, which makes it the workhorse you reach for first on most soft and hard clear coats.
- Diminishing abrasive: The first passes cut hard to knock down defects, then the abrasives break down finer to refine the finish in the same set.

How to Use
- Prime the pad with an outer and inner circle of product and rub it thoroughly into the pad face.
- Spread the product over a 2 ft by 2 ft area. Set your dual action to speed 5.
- Make 2 slow passes with moderate down pressure.
- Blow out or clean the pad, apply 4 dime-size dots, and cycle the same section with no pressure for 2 passes.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber towel. Compound the whole vehicle before moving on to your polish.
Detailer Tips
- Slow arm speed with moderate pressure gives the most cut. Faster passes cut less, not more.
- When the product turns almost clear, the abrasives are broken down and the pass is finished.
- Follow with Classic Polish on an HDO orange foam pad for harder clears or heavy haze, or Classic Finish Plus for soft clears with minimal haze.

Using Classic Cut I was able to easily remove swirl marks and minor imperfections. Their demo/instructional videos get you started on the right path!
Classic cut with the blue microfiber pad is an unstoppable combo. Made the paint correction fly by. This was a first time for me using these products together and I’m blown away with the results and ease of correcting. Absolutely crazy work!

Classic cut works great it has a good cycle time and breaks down flawlessly. Barely any dust and pretty much leaves the panel polished. Definitely the go to.
Classic cut is a versatile polish. I am able to utilize it for so many different areas when detailing a boat. Hatches, gutters, light oxidation and more. It is also a great polish to diminish holograms after compound buffing with a whoop pad on a rotary. I need it for my everyday detailing needs.

Also the customer service here is Great my first order I did the carrier damaged the product and made a hole on the side of the bottle. I’d like to mention they package everything very carefully and professionally, but I did contact them to address the issue and they immediately sent a replacement and provided self cleaning bottles to carry the rest of the product free of charge. I was blown away by the customer service here all the way from the front desk to the shipping department. I’ve been using all the wrong products. Classic Cut exceeded my expectations. Little to no dust, easy to work with, cuts great with minimal work. Finished it off with Classic Finish and the results were phenomenal.. Only compound I’ll be using from now on.. Thank you Shine Supply.
Usually when a product is listed as “versatile”, you can expect it to be decent in all areas (cut, finish, work time, etc); However, Classic Cut excels in all. This is my go-to compound. If you need more cut, go to a more aggressive pad, boost with chop top, or just use chop top instead. If you need a better finish, cycle it out more. Minimal dusting, dreamy “dry” wipe off (none of that oily, greasy, smeary BS), and 9 time out of 10, a beautiful finish after cutting. Works well on wool, microfiber, foam, rotary, forced rotation, and random orbital. Truly awesome stuff! Get the 32oz!!
I had tried several products to get rid of some swirl marks on a black truck, with no luck. I was turned on to Classic Cut by a local shop and couldn't believe the results. No swirls marks whatsoever, even under a light. Product when on easy and came off easy. Only regret is I didn't start with Classic Cut, would have saved me money and bunch of time.
Mobile detailers have to fight sun and varying weather conditions. I normally would have to use a double step to remove haze from a mid level polish due to faster flashing from outdoor heat temperatures in Texas. All I can say is I did not buy a big enough bottle. Shine aupply has won my business period.
I used this after another polish marred my door on my Audi. Literally two passes with one pad and 3 dots of polish and gone gone gone.one of the best.
this product is absolutely incredible. A great amount of work time ready for last stage polish. Long work time. Low dust as long as you clean your pads. I use the rupes claw pad cleaner and compressed air to keep dusting on the LOW
Classic cut is a true joy to work with. One of my favorite products in my arsenal. Spend some time with this compound, understand it capability's with different pads and speeds, you will be absolutely blown away.
Words cannot describe how awesome this product is. Paired with a Meguiar's Microfiber Cutting Disc and a Rupes, swirls and scratches dissolve like melting butter. On multi-step paint corrections, beginning with Classic Cut sets the pace for the project to end with perfect results. After training with Keith Richardson of Keith's Touch, he showed me the true capability of this product and I will never look back! Awesome product by Jeremy and the crew!
I just have to give a shout out to Jay my daughter in laws brother who pointed me in the direction of Shine Supply. He has been a detailer for some time. I have a black car and it has some issues with swirls and scratches on it and I have been buiding up my Shine Supply inventory since Sept of last year. I now have a DA rotary and Classic Cut to work on the swirls and scratches. Let me tell you I am a complete novice at compounding and boy does Classic Cut work. Even in the hot sun on my drive way it has performed great I try to do any work towards the end of the day so the cars paint is not too hot. I have wet sanded some areas of the car for clear coat scratches using 1500 then 2500 grit wet sanding paper. And they cleaned up great. As well as any micro swirls. I have included some links to before and after pics of my car and a 50/50 of the wet sanding then compounding. I hope the links work. They go to my google drive were the images are shareable. I cannot say enough about how easy and affordable the products are here at Shine Supply. Even a complete noobie can get great results with Classic Cut. Mistakenly grabbed this instead of flat top one day while working on some hard gmc paint, was using nanowool pad on a flex rotary. Chopped through micro etching ev to deep etching. Finishes like a dream and outstanding gloss no matter what pad you use with it. Found no issues with it drying out or having dusting or hazing issues. Superb product to remove wash haze and leaving a surface ready for a silica coating.
I've used other systems and compounds and this is by far the best. BY FAR! In some situation's it can even be used as a single step, to be followed up with sealant or wax. Most compounds take 4-6 section passes to achieve results. This does what those other compounds do in 2-3. Keep working it into the 4-6 range and it finishes down so nice. I have yet to use it on a black car, which may take a classic polish to finalize the results, but on white and metallic it worked as a stand alone.
