Classic Cut is our everyday diminishing-abrasive compound and the one we run on roughly 90% of the cars that come through the shop. It removes moderate scratches and defects, then breaks down as you work it to leave a clean, clear finish. Built with zero fillers and a low-dusting formula, it holds up in sun, heat, and humidity, which makes it the workhorse you reach for first on most soft and hard clear coats.

• Diminishing abrasive: The first passes cut hard to knock down defects, then the abrasives break down finer to refine the finish in the same set.
• No fillers, no hiding: Silicone free and wax free, so what you correct is real, not defects masked under oils that wash away later.
• Low dusting: Stays put on the panel and the pad instead of coating your whole work area.
• Pads we pair with it: Microfiber cutting pad or the Tango microfiber cutting pad on a dual action, or a wool pad on a rotary.
• Works in the heat: The formula keeps cycling in direct sun, warm temperatures, and humidity without flashing or drying out.

How to Use

1. Prime the pad with an outer and inner circle of product and rub it thoroughly into the pad face.
2. Spread the product over a 2 ft by 2 ft area. Set your dual action to speed 5.
3. Make 2 slow passes with moderate down pressure.
4. Blow out or clean the pad, apply 4 dime-size dots, and cycle the same section with no pressure for 2 passes.
5. Wipe with a clean microfiber towel. Compound the whole vehicle before moving on to your polish.

Detailer Tips

• Slow arm speed with moderate pressure gives the most cut. Faster passes cut less, not more.
• When the product turns almost clear, the abrasives are broken down and the pass is finished.
• Follow with Classic Polish on an HDO orange foam pad for harder clears or heavy haze, or Classic Finish Plus for soft clears with minimal haze.
