How to dry without putting swirls in it

Drying is a big factor in how swirls get put into paint.

Dry top down

Start with the roof and glass, then work down to the lower panels where the dirtiest water sits.

Let the towel do the work

Lay it flat and pull. Twist weave this long grabs the water on its own, so you do not need pressure.

Finish the glass dry

Flip to a clean dry section and use light pressure. That is what leaves the windows and mirrors streak free.

Wash with Micro Clean

No fabric softener, no dryer sheets, and never in the same load as cotton.

Keep a separate towel for wheels and door jambs. That is what keeps your drying towels from getting cross contaminated.

What size should I get?

It really depends on the vehicle you drive and what you like. The 17x40 is the one for bigger vehicles, since the length covers more panel per pass. The 18x24 is great if you are drying cars or more than one vehicle, and it gets into intricate areas without fighting you. The 16x16 two pack is for small vehicles, glass, mirrors and tight spots.

At the end of the day it is preference. Plenty of people run the big one plus the two pack and cover everything.

How is it different from the Drying Dutchman?

The Dutchman is 1500gsm and 30x30, so it moves the most water. It is the truck, RV and multiple vehicle towel.

The Black Pearl is the versatile one. It is smaller, comes in three sizes, and it keeps absorbing streak free after it is already damp, which is what gets you more panels out of a single towel.

How do I wash it?

Micro Clean, no fabric softener and no dryer sheets. Never wash microfiber in the same load as cotton, since the lint gets into the fibers and kills the absorbency for good.

Who actually owns Shine Supply?
