Engine Bay Cleaning & Conditioning Kit

Sale price$50.00

POP THE HOOD.

The engine bay is one of the dirtiest parts of your vehicle and also one of the most intimidating to clean. This kit handles both sides: breaks down heavy grime and road film with Solution, then conditions and protects the rubber, plastic, and hose surfaces with Clean 'N Shine. Comes with the right brushes for both the bulk work and the tight spots, so you can detail under the hood without second guessing it.

  • Two step system: Solution cuts through built up grease, oil, and grime. Clean 'N Shine restores and conditions the plastics, rubber, and hoses underneath. No harsh solvents, no residue left behind.
  • Two brushes for two jobs: The Tire Tamer XL knocks down the bulk grime on valve covers, air boxes, and open engine areas. The Bristle Boss handles the tighter spots and more delicate plastics where you need bite without aggression.
  • Clean 'N Shine does more than clean: It's our interior conditioner that doubles for engine bay work, lightly restoring rubber and plastic while adding UV protection so hoses don't dry out or fade.
  • Cool engine only: Don't start this job right after a drive. Hot engines flash Solution before it has time to work and can warp certain plastics, let the vehicle cool down fully before you pop the hood.

Kit includes:

How to Use

Step 1: Clean

  1. Cover your alternator and intake with a microfiber towel or plastic bag to keep water out of electronics.
  2. Rinse the engine bay with a light mist to knock off loose debris.
  3. Spray Solution directly across the engine bay surfaces.
  4. Agitate the bulk areas (valve covers, air boxes, large plastic panels) with The Tire Tamer XL.
  5. Get into the tighter spots with The Bristle Boss. Take your time in the corners.
  6. Rinse the bay carefully, keep your pressure washer hose back a good distance from anything sensitive.
  7. Dry with a microfiber towel or air blower.

Step 2: Condition

  1. Spray Clean 'N Shine directly onto the rubber, plastic, and hose surfaces.
  2. Let it soak in for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Use the black applicator pad to level any product that hasn't absorbed.

Detailer Tips

  • Cool engine only. Never start this job on a hot motor, give it at least an hour after a drive.
  • Keep your distance with the pressure washer. When rinsing the bay, hold the hose back far enough that the high pressure isn't hitting anything directly. The chemistry does the work, the water just rinses.
  • Cover your alternator and intake. Bag them or throw a microfiber towel over them before you start, worth the two minutes up front.
  • Spray Clean 'N Shine light. It conditions better than most interior products, but too much leaves a greasy feel. Light coat, level with the pad, repeat only if needed.
  • Work top down. Start at the firewall and work toward the front of the bay so any runoff drains out the bottom.
